The Netherlands stands at the Top with 4th placce in World Happiness Report. Amsterdam The United Nations “World Happiness Report,” placed Holland on the fourth place of the list of the happiest nations in the world. The ranking placed Denmark at the top of the list, above of Finland, Norway, the Netherlands & Canada. According the reporters a country’s wealth doesn’t mean its happiness.

Political freedom, strong social networks and an absence of corruption are together more important than income in explaining well-being differences between the top and bottom countries. At the individual level, good mental and physical health, someone to count on, job security and stable families are crucial.

The report was published at the Conference on Happiness which was authorized by the General Assembly of the UN.

The Earth institute took the privilege of publishing this report. Jeffery Sachs, who co-edited the report, presented a view on how government policies should increasingly focus on happiness and making misery absent.
